ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS

Please forward your submissions to the email address on our contact page with the title line ‘ARTICLE SUBMISSION’. Submission of your thoughts, ideas, press releases, artist statements, reviews and notes are welcomed. Articles should generally be somewhere between 2-5 paragraphs and be accompanied by 1-4 jpeg, png or GIF images. You may also submit proposals which we can discuss for you to develop into articles for the blog. Please allow at least 2 weeks for submission of press releases before publication online. There are 6 general segments that articles may be published under. Your article will most likely be featured under one of these general areas:


1. INTRODUCING
A segment presenting interviews, discussions or thoughts about artists previously undiscussed on this site.


2. REVIEWS
This segment facilitates individuals interested in doing reviews and commentary on books, films, exhibitions, events etc. You are not limited to recent happenings or publications.


3. ON THE SCENE
This segment discusses current events in contemporary art. This extends to the broader Caribbean art scene. Press releases for exhibitions will be published in this segment.
4. IN RETROSPECT
Even though our focus is current happenings, reflection can also help us understand the present. Articles about past events and ideas are also welcomed.


5. GLOBALLY
The blog does focus on the region and local scenes but relating the local to occurrences in the field globally does bring diversity. Submissions about events, issues etc. happening worldwide in contemporary art are also welcomed.


6. ARTIST’S NOTES
In this segment submissions are welcomed from creators and artists who wish to write however formally or informally about their process, their work, the creative life, career tips, experiences etc.
